With festivals upon us and Coachella a few days away retailers and designers are exposing some of the latest trends to appear for 2015. Every year fashionistas and designers go the limits to out due themselves and others from previous years. As many have noticed each year the trends have become more influenced by the 60’s and 70’s. We’re seeing less neon and fishnet, and more prints and bohemian styles.
Our in-house stylist, Seani Mori, has partnered with Tobi to create festival worthy ensembles featuring cardigans, dresses, crop tops, and more (links provided below).
This year lace, fringe, and crochets will hit the desert scene creating comfortable and stylish tops for the warm weather. Seani chose a black crochet crop top and paired it with a tribal print poncho, both from Tobi. The ‘Into The Night’ poncho is great to wear lose for multi-purpose uses. It can be used to either cover up from the hot sun or bundle up for the cool desert night. For the bottom half she wore high waist denim shorts and tall lace up open toed shoes c/o the brand CiCiHot.
If the sun is an issue for you hats are the way to go. Whether it’s a fedora, 5-panel, or snapback there’s an outfit for every hat style. Here, you can see Seani chose a medium brim fedora and created a simple and chic ensemble with combat boots and a woven kimono style cardigan.
Being in the desert doesn’t mean you can’t wear a dress. Check out this intricate yet comfortable piece with detailed lace. This simple and sophisticated dress can be festival ready with just a few accessories. It’s also great for Coachella after parties and social events.
Staying cool and comfortable is a must. A romper is always an easy choice because there are no separates involved. This floral print romper paired with a long kimono is a great neutral choice for a festival go-er who wants to look fun and flirty.
This year will be all about 60’s and 70’s style fashion with a modern twist. Prints and layers will be your best friend, and now is the perfect time to get creative and grab your scissors and cut away at old pants to create one of a kind shorts.
Remember to have fun and be yourself. Festivals are a great way to get away from the stress and to enjoy the music, art, fashion, friends, and to truly be yourself.
